A huge relief landed on my shoulders, when the line of border guards standing on the concrete shore of the harbour, had dissolved into the background of the rocky peninsula. Around the corner to the left, the main fjord stretched fifty kilometres inland. What a pitty that I was not allowed to go there and explore the area, with its solemn peaks that were now touched by the last sunlight. But there was nothing to complain really, because I had my long desired solitude.
